I have been a photographer for nearly 40 years. I started out using a Voightlander 35mm range finder. Graduated to a Nikon f2as...still have it and it works like a charm. Taught myself the beginning skills of darkroom work...eventually learned much more through some great workshops and seminars. Went to college and got a degree in journalism...freelanced my way through all kinds of jobs to feed my kids and pay the rent. Now lean towards the fine arts production of photographic work.
I ended up finally getting a digital camera upon the birth of my second grandchild. I felt i was getting a little slow to keep up with the kids with my old Nikon....i made it through my kids with the Nikon but my knees weren't going to cooperate with this new generation.
So the digital world has made it so much for me easier to take photos of the little ones.
While I still love to print the "old fashioned" way, I really think posting pictures through a blog like this is so totally far out....I am still trying to get the hang of it as my skills are still pretty rough......but I am really having a lot of fun with this whole thing.
