Happy 2nd day of Spring!!!! The Osprey are returning to Long Island...........I thought I spied one on my way to work on Friday..I couldn't be quite sure. Then this morning on my way over the causeway, I let out a cheer......for there it was sitting upon last years nesting platform.
This is a shot of an Osprey I saw at the "Ding" in Florida....it was such a great feeling seeing that bird this morning...knowing that it had survived a long flight from somewhere and came back to our neighborhood. Now the wait for the return of the mate and their winged dance over the marsh.
